Factory workers protest demanding salary hike

On Monday around 9:30 am, the employees started protesting for a salary increase and raised slogans against the management.

The management tried to pacify the workers, but the unrest continued until a large police force arrived and persuaded them to settle down.

DCP (West) SM Qasim Abidi said demands for a salary increase were made at the two factories in the Jhunjhunwala compound. “We have explained the situation to the workers, and they have temporarily agreed.”
