Renault seeks to cut 800 jobs in engineering in France

<p> The ⁠company expects ‌to reduce its <a href=payroll, ⁠which totals 5,500 staff, through voluntary redundancies, Maximilien Fleury told reporters.

The job cuts are in line with ‌the company’s efforts to be better able to ⁠compete with Chinese competition, Chief Technology Officer Philippe Brunet added. (Reporting by Gilles Guillaume and Inti Landauro; editing by Barbara Lewis)
