/PRNewswire/ — Honoring the women leaders who are shaping the global business landscape today, as well as those poised to exert even greater influence, KathyYang, Director of Campus Operations and Head of AI Software Business, at HonHai Technology Group (Foxconn) (TWSE: 2317) has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Business of 2026.
Ms. Yang is the only female executive in Taiwan and ranks 19th in the top 100. She is one of 16 newcomers and 50 women working at Fortune Global500 companies on this year’s list, which includes executives from 20 countries and territories serving 94 companies.
“To maintain a competitive advantage, it is not enough to be at the cutting edge of technology, you also need to know how to cultivate talent. This honor is an inspiration to all women working at Foxconn,” said Ms. Yang. “We are excited to shine a spotlight on women in leadership roles, which is an important milestone in our journey to becoming a world-class global company.”
“In its 29th year, this iconic list of powerful women includes nearly half of women from outside the United States, reminding us that the impact of female leadership is seen on a global scale,” says Alyson Shontell, editor-in-chief and chief content officer of Fortune. “These women are transforming the business world today and preparing for their future in a time of upheaval and uncertainty, but also great promise.”
Ms. Yang joins a distinguished group this year in which technology and finance dominate the list, with 27 and 26 women in each sector, respectively. As AI continues its rapid advancement, women are increasingly helping to shape its future, according to Fortune.
In nearly twenty years at Foxconn, Ms. Yang, who appeared last year on the liste MPW Asia of Fortune, has taken on increasingly senior responsibilities at the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and leading technology solutions provider, from overseeing global logistics and trade compliance to serving as first female executive to take turns as CEO of Foxconn in 2025.
The list MPW2026compiled by Fortune editors, is based on the size and health of executives’ companies or P&Ls, measured by 12-month and three-year financial data, as well as their influence, innovation, career trajectories and efforts to improve the business world.
