ConnectWise said it’s tapped former Office Depot executive Todd Hale as its new chief information officer. The company also said it named Ciaran Chu as the general manager of ConnectWise Control to help spearhead innovation efforts and enhance customer experience.
Most recently, Hale was the founder and general manager of Next Generation Digital Solutions in Tampa. He also spent 17 years at Office Depot holding multiple positions such as executive vice president and global CIO. Prior to Office Depot, he served on the IT leadership team for the Eckerd Corp., where he led the development of the company’s supply chain, merchandising and analytical capabilities. Hale holds a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in management information systems from the University of Arkansas.
In his new role, he will be responsible for data services, business applications and systems, IT enterprise architecture, business transformation and more.
Chu spent the last five years at payment systems company ACI Worldwide and held multiple roles such as head of cloud transformation where he delivered triple-digit revenue growth, launching and scaling a new SaaS business and owning the company’s cloud transformation. Prior to ACI, he spent eight years at Barclays in both its consumer and merchant businesses leading product teams to deliver innovation including the roll out of in-app mobile payments. Chu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Liverpool.
In his new role he will be responsible for end-to-end lifecycle ownership of an Innovation Business Unit focusing on ConnectWise Control.
