Cashfree Payments announces ESOP buyback for 400 employees

The plan is set to cover over 400 Cashfree employees, including 175 former employees.

“Turning ten is not just a milestone, it’s a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and how much more we’re building toward…we see ESOPs not merely as a retention tool or a future promise, but as a tangible way to participate in wealth creation and ownership,” said Akash Sinha, CEO & Co-founder, Cashfree Payments.

Cashfree Payments is an RBI-authorised payment aggregator for domestic and cross-border transactions under a PA-CB licence. The fintech reported a 250 percent year-on-year growth in GMV, with cross-border transactions currently contributing about 10 percent of its revenue.
