Sahar Khan is India head of HR, Amplifon

Sahar Khan has been appointed as the India head of human resources, Amplifon. She moves to the hearing care retail firm from BMW Group, where she was assistant general manager, human resources.

Having started off her professional journey as a summer intern with ITC and then with Kimberley-Klark, Sahar Khan joined Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as a management trainee, in 2011. Less than a year into this role, she was elevated to assistant manager-human resources. By April 2013 she had become manager-sales HR. This role saw her moving from Goa to Mumbai, playing HR business partner to the division head and regional sales team for three divisions of Glenmark with a total manpower of over 900 spread across India.

In December of 2014, Sahar Khan joined McCain Foods as commercial human resource manager. The next four years saw her playing HR business partner to the sales and corporate functions supporting and advising operations at all-India level to achieve the company’s goals, even while delivering industry-leading human resource management practices. She also handed organisational development (OD), combining talent management with training and development to grow the team and provide enriching careers in support of the business strategies.

Khan’s next stop was Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail-Pantaloons, where she played deputy general manager, human resources for over two years.

Her association with BMW Group began in February 2021, as senior manager, human resources. Three years into this role she was elevated to assistant general manager, human resources.

An alumna of Miranda House, Delhi University, and the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, Sahar Khan is backed by about 15 years of experience. Her passion for building sustainable HR practices aligned with business strategy to deliver impact to business and people will be an asset to Amplifon.
