Come September 8 and Hemant Rupani will take on the role of CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. For over nine years now, he has been associated with Mondelez, with his most recent designation being that of business unit president South East Asia, Mondelez International.
Alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Hemant Rupani has worked with PepsiCo Foods for three and a half years. He was VP-planning for two years, from January 2007 to December 2008. He was then elevated to vice president (unit manager)-operations, Tamil Nadu, in 2009. Six months into this role, he was elevated again to vice president-channel marketing.
June of 2010 saw him taking up the role of AVP-sales and marketing, Orissa Circle, Vodafone Essar Cellular. Over a year later, he moved to Vodafone Digilink, as AVP-sales and marketing, UPE Circle. From July 2012 to February 2013, he served as VP sales and marketing, Vodafone Digilink. By March, 2013 he had reached the position of national distribution head, Vodafone India.
May of 2014 was witness to Hemant Rupani playing vice president-sales and business head, breads, at Britannia Industries. This role required him to work out of Bangalore.
It was in April 2016 that his association with Mondelez began, as sales director, based out of Mumbai. Three years into this role, he was elevated to managing director. By 2022, he had become business unit president South East Asia, Mondelez International.
With over 20 years of experience across FMCG, telecom and consulting with stints across India, US and Vietnam, Rupani will now put to use his ability to envision the future and deliver the same through executional excellence, at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages.
