Boss who truly cared: Unable to give his employee a raise, manager helped him find a better job

Yet, his manager wasn’t done—he wanted to find an even better opportunity.</p> <p>The shared WhatsApp exchange reflected this kindness. In the conversation, the manager informed his team member that a friend from Broadcom had reached out, offering to interview him the next day. The friend even mentioned that the candidate might receive a stronger offer than from Qualcomm. The manager briefed his friend about the employee’s background and arranged a telephonic interview for the next morning. The employee confirmed his availability and added that he had already completed other interview rounds.</p> <p>A few hours later, the manager texted again, saying his friend would soon call and that the feedback from him was extremely positive. The employee responded with joy, expressing immense gratitude and happiness. When asked whether he had received the final offer, he replied that he was still waiting for the call. The manager then mentioned he was en route to the airport but asked the employee to reach out whenever convenient.</p> <p>That simple series of messages symbolized an act of rare leadership — a boss taking personal responsibility for an employee’s growth, even beyond the boundaries of his own company.
