/PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The Home Depot®the world’s largest home improvement retailer, announced today that its president and CEO Ted Decker will be taking a temporary medical leave. The company expects Decker to return in the coming months.
The board of directors, acting on Decker’s recommendation, has chosen two executives with extensive experience at Home Depot to oversee operations of the CEO’s office during his absence. Ann-Marie Campbell, senior executive vice president, will oversee Home Depot’s day-to-day operations, while Richard McPhail, executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), will oversee the financial management of the company and subsidiaries of the Pro business. As lead independent director, Greg Brenneman will chair the board in Decker’s absence.
