A survey of 2,000 Brits from Parkdean Resorts revealed that 1 in 10 Brits have left work early to creep off and enjoy the sunshine, and 4% even admit to ‘pulling a sickie’ during a heatwave.

The data revealed that the hottest days of the whole year are expected to fall from Wednesday 17th July – Friday 19th July, where in the past five years temperatures have been a scorching 28.2 °C on average, making it perfect for a summer break from the desk.
Science shows that the second hottest spell is predicted to fall in August from Wednesday 7th August – Tuesday 13th August. In the past five years, temperatures during these dates have averaged 27.2 °C, meaning that this year will be set for sunshine too.
